Honors

Humberto Villa: My artwork was made as the joke of the death of yamcha as a popular death pose and it is meant to win or not I just thought that if you saw a lot of cool art and you just see yamcha I thought that will be funny but if I know I can get it to the art competition I would have put more details and work harder in it like adding a little green hand but I am happy to have it go to the art competition.

Carolina Rivera: My piece is the two different sides of flowers (specifically lilies) over the span on time. On the left side, the flowers are lively and bright while on the right side, the flowers are wilted and dying which is represented through the choice of color.

Xavier Ocampo: Mixed media drawing using oil pastel, marker, and charcoal

Caelin Ortiz: Mixed media drawing using oil pastel, marker, and charcoal.

Ruby Jiminez-Menendez: I used plaster gauze for my background and painted with acrylic paint so I could add my origami chrysanthemums and sunflowers and fill the space with textured paper.

Abril Escobedo: Character collage of Sponge Bob

Devanda Medley: I chose RodWave because I like his music. I can relate to a lot of his songs and also he has just a vibe. I understand him well because he's been through alot of traumatizing things in his life and something that keeps him going is his music. His fans motivate him to keep going. Recently he lost his close uncle and he made a song about his uncle.Lastly I enjoyed painting RodWave because he is my favorite rapper.

Ma'kayla Motley: The reason I chose Tink as a painting is because I love Tink and she brings out a side that nobody knows anybody has. She always puts me in a place that nobody can put me in . Tink brings me peace and calms me down and the lyrics that she speaks touches my heart and it makes me feel good because somebody gets how I feel. It kinda lifts stress and heaviness off my shoulders because I'm getting it off my chest .

Daniela Rosales: Mixed media using oil pastel, marker and charcoal.

Jeaneliz Quinones: Mixed media drawing using oil pastel, marker and charcoal.

Selene Roque: Mandala carved out on cardboard then filled in with another mandala design.
