This art piece is a charcoal self-portrait based on the Star Tarot Card, meant to portray myself having the strength to carry on throughout life with hope and optimism.
Nicole Macias - Dissociation : This painting, created using both acrylic and oil paints, depicts an insecurity which many women including myself experience. As someone with an eating disorder, body weight and size is constantly controlling our minds and perspective of ourselves. No one knows what the “perfect” body looks like, and this piece uses two opposing body types to show that contrast.
Aylen Morales - “First Seed” This drawing was inspired by the symbolism of fertility held by pomegranates. I wanted to convey the bearers body as almost that of a tree in which the pomegranate grows from. The materials I used for this piece were a red mechanical pencil along with a red acrylic paint marker. Techniques I used were hatching, and blending.

I was inspired to create this illustration to show how hard our parents work to give us everything we need in life even things that seemed so unimportant, silly stuff like candy and toys, giving us the childhood they wish they had, Giving us a nostalgic feeling from candy brands and cartoons we would watch. From bathing us with the soap they bought for us to be clean to sending us to college with the money they saved for us wishing for us to have a better life and opportunities they didn’t
Jayvien G - I drew this self portrait to bring the message of how powerful the mind is. The mind holds so many ideas and thoughts that it builds your worldview; it builds how you see the world you live in. I put stitching around my eyes and mouth because that's only a small fraction of what builds your own views. The brain holds so much more power than the rest of your body that's what truly makes your world. My eyes and mouth only serve to observe and speak but my brain controls my whole body and that's a huge part of me. My brain is what matters to me and the world I build from my observations is the world I make come true.

Yeslei Lopez - The portrait below depicts a women blindfolded, when it comes to survivers of sexual assault they are forced to be silent on the matter. But in this case, the women is blinded by the truth of the matter because she is unaware of the assault, due to being drugged. She is blinded literally and mentally which is why it is show wearing a blindfold, blinded to her own truth and darkness. Which is I used a led pencil, charcoal pencil, pen, art pencil, blending, tortillon, and a kneaded eraser. Although, my skils aren't up to par with the message I wanted to convey, I wanted to draw this to raise awareness on Sexual Assault Awareness month for survivors.

Jayla Martin - When i was making this piece i wanted to think outside the box, i was thinking how can i make this enjoyable for others;i decided to to make it where you can move it around and see the art from another point of view, like have a bit of fun with it. The drawing of the girl holding a camera is what you see at first before the second drawing is exposed to show an entire different colorful scene. My inspiration was i saw something on TikTok where they made a drawing in to another drawing while zooming in and i wanted to put that in my art. The message for what i want to send is there's so much to life that we don't capture in our own moments in life, i like how pictures show memories that make us cry, laugh, happy, smile, and all other sorts of emotions so that's the message i want to send.
